The Amazing Spider-Man 2 isn't out for at least six months, but preparation is already underway for the third installment of the franchise.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner - the writing team behind Spidey 2 - have signed up to pen the third effort, with Marc Webb expected to take up the job behind the camera for a third time.
No word on the plot yet, of course, but we recently reported that Jamie Foxx expects The Sinister Six to feature in the future of The Amazing Spider-Man franchise (whether that be in this third film, or in the fourth that is also already confirmed).
Kurtzman and Orci have also signed up to work on Star Trek 3, while they are producing Universal's reboot of The Mummy. Busy boys.
The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is due on 10th June 2016. But in the meantime, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is out on 18th April 2014 in the UK, and 2nd May 2014 in the US.
