The first poster for the upcoming thriller Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit has been revealed.
The movie stars Chris Pine as the title character (in a role previously played on film by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck), and also stars Kenneth Branagh (who also directs), Keira Knightley and Kevin Costner.
Unlike previous Jack Ryan movies, Shadow Recruit (previously known as Shadow One and just plain Jack Ryan) is not based on one of Tom Clancy's novels, but rather tells an original tale.
Whether the poster was always set to release today, or whether it was unveiled as a tribute to Clancy is unknown.
Tom Clancy sadly passed away earlier today, following a brief illness. He was 66.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is currently slated for a Christmas Day release in the US, but it is unknown is Clancy's death will cause the film to be put back.
