IGN and Shock Til You Drop are reporting that the next Friday The 13th movie (which would technically be Friday The 13th 13, but that's a silly title, and Jason X proves that this is not a franchise that embraces silliness) may well be a found footage movie.
The producers have apparently sent out a request for pitches that will "work in the found footage format", so while this is far from a confirmation, it shows that they're certainly looking into it.
"Hold it there, Jason - I just need to grab my camera..."
Nothing is known about the next Friday movie yet, but Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes company are still attached, and Paramount (who have certainly seen big returns on found footage horror with the Paranormal Activity franchise) will distribute the film.
