Walking Dead S4 Finds Its Rosita

Deadline is reporting that Twilight actress Christian Serratos has been cast as Rosita Espinosa in the fourth season of AMC's The Walking Dead.

The actress will have a recurring role in the fourth season, with the option to become a series regular in the show's fifth season.

While this is good news for fans (and the actress certainly looks the part, you can't dispute that), the real excitement in this comes from the fact that it more or less confirms that Abraham Ford will be on his way to the show, too.

Earlier in the year, some character descriptions appeared for a casting call that seemed to perfectly describe the trio of Abe, Rosita and Eugene (though the character names were different), so speculation has been rife, but it's good to get confirmation.

What this means for fan-favourite Daryl Dixon is anyone's guess - the original character has fulfilled the role played by Tyreese in the comics up until now, and with Tyreese now being a part of the series, and Abe - who took over Tyreese's role - now on his way too, is there really a need for three characters filling the same "second in command" position? If only there were some sort of spin-off that one or more of the characters could move to...

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 13th.
