John Oliver Returns To Community

John Oliver is set to return as Ian Duncan for the fifth season of NBC's cult comedy Community.

You've ruined the Duncan principle!

The British star was a semi-regular for the show's first two seasons as the sarcastic and often off-the-wagon teacher, but has been absent since then.

The move is a welcome one for fans, as it returns a sense of stability to the series. Showrunner Dan Harmon, who was unceremoniously dumped prior to the fourth season following a public spat with star Chevy Chase, is also set to return, allievating some fans' concerns over the inconsistant tone of the show's fourth season, but Chase is not returning as Pierce Hawthorne.

Danny Glover - one half of the show's popular Troy And Abed double-act - is also set to bow out after the fifth season's first few episodes.

It's not all bad news for the Greendale Human Beings, though - NBC has confirmed that Justified's Walton Goggins and Breaking Bad's Jonathan Banks are to have reocurring roles in the upcoming run, following on the tails of high-profile guest stars such as Betty White and Michael K. Williams.

Community's fifth season is set to air some time in 2014.
