The actor will play a helicopter pilot who travels through an earthquake-ravaged California in the film, while trying to locate his family(obviously...) in the Brad Peyton-helmed film.
Disaster movies tend to come in waves (or should that be tsunamis?) every twenty years, being big in the 70s and the 90s, so hopefully San Andreas (which will probably be in 3D) will kick off a new set of wrath-of-nature films. Maybe it's just me, but there's something really satisfying about the genre.
No release date for the film has been set as yet.
