More New Shows For The Doctor Who Anniversary Weekend Announced.

As well as "exclusively" revealing the poster for The Day Of The Doctor (see below), the Beeb have given us a few more details on the upcoming celebration shows via the BBC One Facebook page.

First up, more info on the BBC Three shows: There's a "Monsters And Villains" weekend, a
countdown to the top DW monster as voted for by the viewers, "The Ultimate Guide", which is the previously revealed talking heads show, and a "further exciting commission" yet to be unveiled.

CBBC are getting in on the action with two live Blue Peter episodes and a Who-themed episode of 12 Again, with guests including Louise Jameson (Leela).

Radio 2 get another show, as David Quantick presents "The Blaggers Guide To Doctor Who".

Radio 1 will present "Time Lord Rock", about a genre of music inspired by Who (?)

Radio 4 Extra presents  "Who Made Who?", a special program  looking  "at the world that inspired the television series. Doctor Who may have come from other times, but his roots were very much in the present of 1960s Britain. This distinctive programme combines audio from the archive, new interviews and extracts from audio versions of Doctor Who."

On top of that, the station will broadcast readings and dramas featuring the Doctor. Not sure if these will be Big Finish plays or entirely new stories.

And finally Graham Norton will present his R2 show live from the Doctor Who Celebration on the day itself.

Seriously, take that, Corrie.

Is it November yet?
