Agents Of SHIELD Premiere Date Set

It must be the most hotly anticipated show of the new season, and we can now reveal that UK viewers will get to see Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. just three days after its US premiere, on C4, Friday 27th September.

On the one hand, C4 are sadly famous for censoring shows beyond belief to fit the wrong timeslot, but nevertheless it's exciting to see such a high-profile show airing so close to the US airdate on a terrestrial station (usually, such a close UK showing is the trademark of the Sky channels).

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., from current Marvel Cinematic Overlord and former cult-TV icon Joss Whedon, picks up after the events of last summer's box office behemoth Avengers Assemble, and stars Clark Gregg as the franchise breakout star Agent Phil Coulson.

With the creative mind behind Buffy, Angel, Firefly and the criminally underrated Dollhouse at the helm, and the mass appeal of one of Cinema's highest-grossing films ever, surely this is one Whedon show that doesn't face premature cancellation.
