Doctor Who News is reporting that the BBC Four repeat of An Unearthly Child has been " unconfirmed, pending the resolution of issues with one of the episodes".
No news yet as to what this issue may be - content could be an issue, I guess, what with the heavy implication that Ian and Barbara enter the TARDIS because they think that The Doctor is being... inappropriate towards Susan, but that's never stopped previous repeats of the serial.
It was this look that made them suspicious...
While going back to the very start is of course the most appropriate way to celebrate Who at Fifty (especially given that a few of the locations from this serial reappear in The Day Of The Doctor), maybe if this issue, whatever it may be, goes unresolved they may opt to show a Hartnell serial that is (dare I say it) a bit less... tedious.
