The BBC have released another fascinating image from the upcoming anniversary escapades of The Doctor(s).
The picture, released via Twitter with the caption "The Bringer of Darkness, the Oncoming Storm, the Doctor, the Warrior - A Time Lord!" reveals what very much appears to be The Sisterhood Of Karn.
The Sisterhood first appeared in the utterly fantastic Season 13 serial The Brain Of Morbius, which established them as distrustful allies-slash-rivals to the Time Lords, and as guardians of the Sacred Flame, which provides the Elixir Of Life.
While they have appeared in several BBC Novels and Big Finish audios, as with fellow Season 13 creations the Zygons, this anniversary appearance would mark their first return to the screen (if it is indeed the Sisterhood in this pic).
There is no confirmation as yet as to whether this image is from The Day Of The Doctor itself, or whether it is from one of the prequel minisodes.
The Day Of The Doctor stars Matt Smith, David Tennant, Jenna Coleman, Jemma Redgrave, Billie Piper and John Hurt, and airs on BBC One on the 23rd of November at 7:50pm, followed immediately after on BBC Three by Doctor Who Live: The Afterparty.
