Variety is reporting that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd are the
two frontrunners for the Edgar Wright helmed Ant-Man.

This is not the first time that Gordon-Levitt has been linked with a Marvel property, having previously been heavily rumoured to take on the role of Doctor Strange in Phase Three. He is a great actor, and would certainly be a strong addition to the ever-expanding cast of the Marvel movieverse, but as with Doctor Strange, I'm not really sure that Ant-Man is quite the right role for him to join the franchise with. Rudd would certainly work a lot better with Wright's style of film-making.

Variety do claim that another actor could enter chase, but as of
now Marvel is said to be meeting with the actors one more time before
making a decision.
With pre-production well underway, expect an announcement soon.
Ant-Man, written by Wright and Joe Cornish, is out on July 31, 2015
