Days Of Future Past is still several months away, but the next X-Men movie has already been confirmed.
Bryan Singer took to Twitter to hint "#Xmen #Apocalypse 2016!" before it was confirmed by Fox that it would be released on 27 May 2016.
The film will mark the first live-action appearance of the popular Egyptian villain, real name En Sabah Nur, the first ever mutant. He is most famous for the "Age Of Apocalypse" storyline, where an alternate timeline is established where Apocalype has already conquered the world.
Given the time travelling shenanigans of Days Of Future Past, it seems highly likely that this is the path that the movie will take.
And, hell, I wouldn't bet against our heroes discovering that they have created this timeline as a post-credit scene in Days Of Future Past...
