I've been wanting to share the new teaser trailer for next year's Godzilla remake with you all weekend, but it's been really hard to find a version online that isn't taken down within the hour.
But now we have one.
It's unclear why the studios seem so intent on stopping people from seeing this trailer - it's bloody brilliant! Not showing off so much that a sense of anticipation at seeing Godzilla is lost (though we do see the beast), not giving away plot details, but delivering a hell of a lot of atmosphere and menace... To quote Calvin Candie, this film had my curiosity... Now it has my attention.
Directed by Gareth Edwards (who also helmed the utterly superb and devestatingly underappreciated 2010 film Monsters), and starring Avengers: Age Of Ultron duo Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen, with Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston and Inception's Ken Watanabe, Godzilla is expected to hit cinemas on the 14th May 2014.
Check it out below, while you still can! Oh, and I recommend going full screen, otherwise you may have to squint a bit.
